Welcome to the Future Fifty Application Form

This application will take up to 20 minutes to complete. Please provide information about:

- Company Information 

- Value Proposition - achievements, milestones, competitors

- Financial information including revenue, growth and funding

- Company founders, board and c-suite 

- Potential for Scale

- International Expansion 

- Marketing & Data Protection


Application Criteria

Only companies that meet the criteria below will be forwarded to shortlisting:

  • HQ’d in UK

  • Series B+ and/or £5million in revenues with 50% year-on-year growth 

  • A digital tech business with a product or service to sell 

  • Ambition to scale

  • Future Fifty is not open to consultancies or agencies


Application Judging

Applications will be scored by our panel of judges on the following criteria:

Criterion 1 Value proposition: Your company's value proposition according to the market in which they operate. 

Criterion 2 Performance and Funding Information: How do you meet the criteria of Series B or £5m in revenues with 50% YoY growth.  

Criterion 3 Competitive Position: Is your competitive advantage clear? How does this impact your growth 

Criterion 4 Achievements to date:  Show significant achievements to date

Criterion 5: Job Creation: How have you contributed to the UK economy via job creation 

Criterion 6: Potential for  further scalability: How are you making a dent in your market through growth and impact.

Criterion 7: Should this company be in the Future Fifty?: How does your company represent the very best of UK tech?


Judges Advice

What makes a good Future Fifty company?  

  • An entrepreneurial company with global ambition

  • A compelling business idea that meets a genuine market need

  • Evidence of sizeable revenue and growth

  • A management team that shows conviction and purpose towards the company's goals

What separates a good application from a great one?  

  • Clear, simple articulation of the offer, markets, technology and progress. Sometimes it’s impossible to decipher what the company actually does.

  • Take your time and answer every question.

  • Put supporting information in appendices (such as financial reports) 

What tips would you give a founder who’s completing a Future Fifty application?

  • Do not assume we know your company in great detail, and please do not assume your website explains everything

  • Remember, we will keep your application confidential, so be honest about your answers

  • We care about governance and diversity – it matters for the long term

  • Don’t just cut and paste from your literature. It’s obvious
